Call for Speakers March 26-28, 1997 The Pasadena Center Pasadena, CA The New Animation Technology Expo (NATE),  is soliciting class proposals for the 1997 conference in Pasadena, CA.  All proposals must be received by September 16. NATE will debut March 26-28,1997 and will take place during the internationally recognized World Animation Celebration film festival.  The event will consist of more than 1200 professionals focusing on advancing the art of animation and demonstrating the latest animation technology. The conference will include more than forty technical sessions in 60 and 90 minute time slots.  In addition, there are four all-day, in-depth tutorials focused on computer generated animation tools and techniques. The World Animation Celebration has a long history of searching out and presenting the best animation from all over the world.  This year the Celebration continues in an expanded form that includes NATE, a technical conference and trade show tailored to meet the needs of professionals working in the field of 2D and 3D animation. NATE will attract leading animators, distributors, producers, and executives in the expanding market of animated entertainment and offer them an opportunity to share their expertise while gaining a better understanding of the tools and techniques they can apply immediately to their own projects. If you are interested in presenting a class at NATE, please submit an abstract describing the class or classes you wish to teach. You should include the level of experience required for the course, the specific material to be taught, and the benefits to be derived from the class. Proposals should also include a brief biography which lists your experience and credentials.  A technical paper will be required before the conference for inclusion in the course proceedings.  It is important that all sessions provide detailed instruction that will improve the productivity of attendees.  Any speakers not providing papers by the deadline can expect to be dropped from the program.
